Eloise Sherrid is an NYC based filmmaker and artist.
Her projects have shown at festivals nationally and internationally, including Hot Docs International Film Festival, BAMcinemaFest, Indie Memphis and Dances With Films, and have screened at institutions including the Wexner Center and Rubin Foundation. Her short film, “The Body is a House of Familiar Rooms,” is available nationwide on Season 6 of POV Shorts from PBS and The Criterion Channel.
Her work has been discussed in The Guardian, Hyperallergic, STAT, Design Type, and Print Magazine, and features in curricula and resource guides at MassArt, University of the Arts London, MICA, and the Association of Independent Colleges of Art & Design. Her work has screened at universities including NYU Tisch, Toronto Metropolitan University, and Hunter College, and was presented at the 2023 WGS South Conference at Penn State.
Eloise directs and produces award-winning projects for clients, including Christie’s, Pace Gallery, The Architecture Lobby, Gradient Experiential and more.
Eloise holds a BFA ‘16 from the Rhode Island School of Design. When not behind the camera, she plays table-top RPGs, hikes mountains, and sews quilts out of fabric scraps.
Reparations
Eloise makes a monthly sustaining contribution to the Manna-hatta Fund, from which 100% of donations go to American Indian Community House, a Native led community center serving the health, social service, and cultural needs of Native Americans living in New York City.
