Eloise Sherrid is an NYC based filmmaker and artist.

She tells stories about the emotional and political dimensions of art, geography and cultural production.

Her projects have shown at venues nationally and internationally, including Hot Docs International Film Festival, the Rubin Foundation, the Museum of Fine Arts in Budapest, and the Venice Biennale for Architecture. Her short film, “The Body is a House of Familiar Rooms,” is available on POV Shorts from PBS and The Criterion Channel.

Her work has been discussed in The Guardian, Hyperallergic, STAT, Bad At Sports and e-flux, and has screened at universities including Toronto Metropolitan University, University of Maryland and Hunter College. She also directs and produces award-winning projects for clients, including Christie’s, Pace Gallery, Gradient Experiential and more.

Eloise holds a BFA ‘16 from the Rhode Island School of Design.

Reparations

Eloise makes a monthly sustaining contribution to American Indian Community House, a Native led community center serving the health, social service, and cultural needs of Native Americans living in New York City.
